HECTIC

It’s been pretty hectic around here. I’m gearing up to leave for elk hunting tomorrow, but I also hope I’ll be able to fish the Blue-winged Olive hatch along the way. The word is that the “olives” are still happening on Frying Pan River and if they aren’t the midges will be. On top of all this I’m going to try to make some posts on the Lone Angler Journal this time out. We’ll see how that goes. I know I won’t be able to post from elk camp, but if I get a chance to go into town I’ll try to get the word out.

That’s phase one. Once I get back from hunting and hopefully a little bit of dry fly fishing on the “Pan” I’ll have less than a week to get ready to head to California for trout/steelhead fishing. I made this same trip quite a few years ago, but we were too early for the October Caddis hatch. This time around I’m hoping to hit that hatch head-on.

It’s all happening at once starting tomorrow.
